Romanian PM90

Hi

I thought I would post some pictures of my Romanian PM90. I'll be honest, I think this is one of the ugliest AK designs out there (I mean, as in factory produced 'ugly', not Iraqi chop shop specials etc!).

Having just a barrel nut and not flash hider in my view adds to its overall lack of looks.

However, it does point well with the front vertical grip.

I look at it along side my AKS74U and Yugo M92 and they are hands down much nicer looking shorty 'AKs'. (I'll post pictures of them in the next few days)

But I'm sure there are fans out there that like the the look of this short Romy AK, so I would be interested to get your thoughts.

Classis short barrel Romanian OP. Yours looks mint. I like the different versions each country came up with.

When Midway had some cheap Pm.90 full size kits a few years ago I bought a bunch. I've built a few so far and love them.

I definitely prefer the wooden stock on your top one compared to the folder examples. With all those bits available to grab when the stock is folded I am never quiet sure of the best way to pick it up...

My shorty PM90 is mint (and not refurbished).

I prefer my standard non dong fore grip AK or AKM rifles too, especially for looks. I do like using a c clamp type grip on Romy dongs forward or reverse, it gives me better control.

I really don't mind the wire side folder but I'm also one of those nuts that like under folders. The 100 series is my favorite side folder followed by the triangle side folder.

Where did you get your kit?

I'd like to compare a short Pm.90 to a full size. Current kit prices have me building what I bought. I might as well post some of my nearly completed AOA early 1960s underfolder reverse dong builds,
