I didn't have that trouble with mine so can't say, but I would think that if the pin is extended into the notch at all, it will prevent coming loose, though perhaps it should be checked periodically.
Btw I was a little disappointed with that unit because while it seems to be a good brake, I picked it mostly because of the shroud (cage) feature, and it certainly is inconvenient to take on and off, and there's a tiny part I don't so much want to mess with away from home for fear of losing. The cage does do a decent job of reducing concussion indoors, but I'm not sure that overall the combination has much advantage over a flash hider or slant brake. See what you think and if you would please post your findings, I have only tried the Epsilon on one range trip and can't say that I'm super accurate in noticing recoil differences, I don't mind the AK with no muzzle device at all, so take my limited observations on the Epsilon with a grain of salt.
