Molot VEPR 7.62x54R rifle recoil spring assembly instructions

Can anyone please share the correct configuration and instructions for how the recoil springs and small captive cover fit on the recoil spring guide rod? I took it apart to clean it and didn't take note of how it was together. One spring is longer than the other. Does that go in the forward of the cover position or behind? Also wondering if the cover ring just sits in between the two ends of the springs, or if one of the springs is rotated a few times to kind of screw one of the two springs onto the cover ring? CLP or oil on the inner and outer guide rod?

Thank you! Alex

Thank you Dan! I think the picture is enough to help. Looks like longer spring goes in the forward position and the cover ring just rests between the two springs. Not captive in any way other than being on the guide rod in between where the two springs meet.

As to oil or CLP, I always run a patch through the carrier and wipe the spring assembly with the same patch.
Usually I use Radco CLP, maybe three drops on a patch and call it good. The Radco does not allow carbon
buildup.

I'm speaking of my personal 54r Vepr rifles and not a cleaning procedure used by Two Rivers.

Your above post is correct, the cover is simply captured between the two springs.
