Handguard Identification?

Trying to ID this handguard I got in a parts lot. Any help much appreciated! Pics below but more can be seen here.

It came on a gas tube that I am also trying to identify and am wondering if it is also Egyptian. Is there anything distinctive about Egyptian gas tubes? It has no lettered markings but it's pretty distinctly different (welds, finish, other minor details) from the other gas tubes I have to compare it with.

From left to right in these pics:
Recent production Draco, 2002 WASR, 1971 Romanian, East German, and the mystery (Egyptian?) tube is on the far right.

Polish laminate will have a distinctive smell - rather similar to the kind of musty smell of old military canvas items.

Russian laminate has a smokey, "barbecue" smell to it.
