I know this question has been asked manys times. Not much information here, unless I missed the discussion. I need drawings for AK47. I want to start manufacturing parts. I know some of you have the old books and or access to drawings.
Any help is appreciated.

it's not like soviets shared the originals to the cloud back in the 60s and i have not been able to find any decent versions of digitized original prints.

you are better off just getting a receiver and making your own drawings. it would just about as labor intensive as intepreting paper drawings and making cad models, if not more.
whatever scrap i have come across up until recently isn't worth much.

i did come across dudes from russia selling them (or what they claim as 'original AK drawings') online out of russia for as little as $20 as as much as $1k.
most of it just crappy re-prints, super blurry and 80-90% of the time not even legible. it looked like they were copies made from copies from original 50-60 era factory drawing copies that were than digitized in the late 90s early 2000s and now getting reprinted on large format printers. Few that i saw in person were printed from much lower resolution that you would need for a1 or even a2 draft size. I would not put my cash down for that lame horse. I know some people bough them as novelty/decor items, but i think that's where usefulness of them ends.

with that being said some people traveled to russia and brought crazier stuff back, so MAYBE set of good/original draft copies of them exists squirreled away in some collector's stash, but i doubt they would be sharing that stuff to a dude on a internet, an properly digitize them would take specialized scanner that 99% of folks don't have. maybe if you find guy with a set and convince him to go to kinkos or staples and scan it out on a 24" pull through in a max resolution, but i think it's a huge ask from someone you don't know unless you are paying the guy.
Thanks, you advise sounds correct. I got one person searching in Russia. We see what happens. Buying, stripping down and measure each part is probably my only and last step.

Thats really neat. Thanks for the link Dee.

Kind of wish the full rifle pages were in larger format. Something I could send to a print shop at Arch D size. Be a neat poster.

Hello guys, not to revive an older thread, but this is right up my alley.

I have the full set of uncompressed AK drawings. They are quite large, but if you have an idea of the specific parts you'd like, I can create some download links tonight. I'm also working on a set of completely modernized and English drawings based directly off of the originals. My intent is to sell these eventually, so I'm not too keen to give them out for free, but if someone wanted to have a go at proving out my work by cutting some steel, I might be open to sharing in confidence. Let me know if anyone's interested.
